Great game in Hayward tonight! Was really exciting and a lot of pressure and chances on both sides.
Though Gold Pride did well to keep the ball away from US Women's National Team superstar Abby Wambach, she was definitely still a force to reckon with!

I finally got a relatively clean shot of the famous Kiki Bosio "flip throw." It's totally nuts that this is how she throws in the ball, and I've had a couple opportunities, but this is my favorite so far. Hopefully I'll get another chance still and remember to bump up my shutter speed even more.
Probably my favorite part of the game was the second annual mascot half time game. HAHA! Though they didn't have Oski, they did have Oakland A's - Stomper, USF - Don, SF State - Gator, San Jose Sharks- Sharkie, Modesto Nuts- Wally the Walnut and Al the Almond, and of course MVP, FC Gold Pride- Pounce. This was the most ridiculous thing I have seen, and incredibly entertaining. Not only was it awesome because their shoes are too big, they can't really see all that well, and their outfits aren't quite conducive for athletics haha. But I think what made it so entertaining was that they can't really change their expression, yet somehow I feel like they still looked like they were. HAHA! (Hopefully this isn't a "you had to be there" and this is also entertaining to you)
