Stanford Women's Basketball defeats Arizona 87-54

What started as a close game, turned into a rout.

Arizona came out, had some nice shots go in and got to within 2pts of Stanford. They ended the first half with an approachable 40-33. I don't know what Tara VanDerveer said at halftime, but the girls came out strong in the second half for a lopsided 87-54 win.

Pac-10 Player of the year in '10, Nmenkadi Ogwumike led with 24 points. But her sister Chiney Ogwumike is certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with as she develops. Especially considering she's a starter as a freshman! Must be taking tips from big sis!

But I'm calling for Jeanette Pohlen to be team MVP this year. Her intensity and consistency is very impressive!
