Cal Women's Basketball defeats OSU 58-49

Headed over to Haas Pavilion for Senior Day, the final Cal Women's Basketball home game of the season, and what a way to send off the seniors.

Rachelle "Mooch" Federico got the start and put up 15 points. She's one of my favorite players based almost entirely on knowing she's an avid Disney fan. And appropriately, in her postgame quote, equated the feeling of tonight's win to Disneyland.

Layshia Clarendon also had a great game, including this steal, layup and one.

It was also senior day, for senior citizens representing the Bay Area Senior Games at halftime... old men playing basketball, gotta love it!

Stanford Football defeats OSU 38-0

Immediately after the Cal game, I headed over to shoot the remainder of the Stanford vs OSU football game for my first assignment with Southcreek global media. Thanks to my parent's driving and dropping me off, I was able to make it with some time left in the 2nd quarter.

The game ended up being quite the lopsided victory with Stanford defeating OSU 38-0.

There is no question, Stanford has a great team this year!

When I assisted Peter Read Miller earlier in the season, the assignment was to shoot Owen Marecic, known for starting on both sides of the ball as a fullback and middle linebacker. Though slightly under the radar in the beginning of the season, he now has his own fan group.

A huge thanks out to Matt Cohen for suggesting me to Southcreek once there was an opening. I'm looking forward to covering more events for them!

Cal Women's Soccer vs Oregon State

Headed out to Edwards again for Cal Women's Soccer vs Oregon State.

Now the weather is just making a mockery of me, yet another rainy women's soccer game. But this time I had my new ThinkTank Hydrophobia so apart from being personally wet (I need to invest in some rain pants) I happily stayed dry.

So glad I made it out to shoot it. Was a thriller, won in double overtime Golden Goal by Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick.

Megan Jesolva created the opportunity with her shot on goal deflected by the keeper.

Then Fitzpatrick was able to get the rebound and score. Then the whole team came running towards her in celebration.
