Headed over to Alumni House at Berkeley to read and score scholarship applications for the Leadership Award. The Leadership Award is a merit-based scholarship provided by the California Alumni Association. I was fortunate to be a recipient of this scholarship while a student at Cal. It swayed my opinion to choose Cal over other colleges (that and the velcro-closed acceptance letter "the sound of your future"). The Scholarship Office employed me for a few years and I met some incredible friends through the Alumni Scholars Association! Though I'm not yet in a place to donate financially, I can donate my time. Plus it's exciting to get a peek at some of the amazing projects Cal students are organizing! All alumni are welcome to read and it's surprisingly fun. Highly recommend joining for the reading or interviewing to all my fellow bears.
