Sonoma Helicopter, Hop Kiln, Bubbling Well

Had a fun day with the padres today. A while ago my dad purchased a groupon deal that included a helicopter ride with Sonoma Helicopter and then wine tasting at nearby Hop Kiln.

Started at Sonoma Helicopter with Nicole Vandelaar and Barry Chambers. Barry took us up in the R44 and we flew over Sonoma County wine country. Including an aerial view of Hop Kiln.

Here's a quick video of the start of our ride... helicopters are so cool!

It was so fun and SUCH a beautiful day. Barry was great and now my dad, already a helicopter pilot on the Bell 47, definitely has the itch to get checked out in a Robinson R44 Raven II!

Afterwards, we headed over to the Hop Kiln winery, a historical landmark!

We had Drew serving our private wine tasting with cheese... so fancy! Yet unpretentious, and considering any bottle over $6, I consider pricey, I appreciated the judgement free lesson in wine =)

Hop Kiln has a great history and a great vibe, cool fact, the winemaker became head winemaker at 24! Unheard of!

Afterwards, we continued our day visiting the Bubbling Well pet cemetery where my precious pup Roxy is  listed. It's a beautiful place dedicated to acknowledging that sometime our well loved family members are four-legged. Miss you Roxy!!

Then we continued along the Putah Creek (as written about in Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Green River") and ended the day at Chuy's in Winters. Yum! Fun day with my parents =)
