Washington D.C.

For those who don't already know through my Twitter, I'm in Washington D.C. =)

My friend Roushani lives out here while she's attending law school and since I hadn't been to D.C. since I was little, and of course wanted to visit my friend, here I am!

Along with the snipers on the roof!!

Did I mention it's freeeeezing!?!?

Despite being the worst time (in terms of weather) to visit D.C., today was a great day, mainly because on MLK Day, I was able to stand where Dr. King stood in 1963 and delivered the "I Have A Dream" speech!

Just outside the Lincoln Memorial.

We also visited the Vietnam War Memorial, so moving and heart-wrenching to see ALL the names on the wall.

Though already getting dark and cold, it had yet to "freezing rain" so we took a great stroll along the Tidal Basin and stopped by the FDR Memorial.

And the Jefferson Memorial.

Roushani pointed out her favorite excerpt. Wise words:

We of course also had some fun on the mall.

And though my mom worried everyone would think my new boots look like knee braces, I was VERY happy to have them, stylin and warm!! ;-)

As the song goes, I'm proud to be an American!!
