USC defeats Cal Men's Water Polo 12-10 in Overtime for NCAA Championship

Man! What a game! After a back-and-forth game ending 10-10 in regulation. USC defeated Cal 12-10 in overtime for the 2010 NCAA Men's Water Polo Championship.

It was a hard fought game by both sides.

Throughout the game it was not drizzling, not sprinkling, but RAINING! Thankfully I had myself and my camera outfitted with rain gear so I stayed relatively dry. It was awesome to see so many fans show up and endure the weather for a very exciting championship game.

If you remember the previous Cal water polo game I shot, it was also raining, but with this game starting at 3 and having slightly warmer temperatures, the steam off the pool wasn't nearly as difficult to shoot through.

After the clock ran out in the 2nd overtime period with USC grabbing the 12-10 victory, USC fans starting jumping in the water to join the celebration of the USC players.

I'm sorry to not see Cal come up with the win, but a very exciting game to shoot. And hopefully the dripping clothes and cover hanging on my door will dry quickly =) Congratulations to USC for the win, and Cal for the strong effort.
