Oakland Raiders defeat the Chicago Bears 25-20

Headed over to O.co Coliseum for the Bears vs the Raiders

I always arrive early to set up the DSL cables I transmit from, claim a good spot to sit in the dugout, get some food, etc. It's funny because the pathway to the field goes right by the visiting team locker room, so a lot of times they are heading down the stairs for the field to warm up at the same time as me. Once I had a player offer to carry my bag down the stairs for me (such a gentleman, but I carried it myself... girl power!) this time I got to witness, won't name any names, a player in front of me trip down the stairs and almost fall. He caught his footing without realizing anyone saw him and stepped onto the field chanting about what a great game he was going to have because he so quickly recovered his stumble down the stairs. Haha. Silly boys.

As the players were warming up, Coach Hue Jackson was having a great time dancing to the music.

I also liked DeMarcus VanDyke whose mouthguard looked like a pacifier ;-)

But my favorite moment of pregame was Aaron Curry returning to the locker room...

Then hearing a girl call his name he gave this coy lil smile. haha.

Then it was game time.

Bears were without quarterback Jay Cutler,

I'm sure much to the dismay of Bears Head Coach Lovie Smith.

Last Raiders game I photographed, I made an image of Carson Palmer getting sacked and it was my very first photo published in Sports Illustrated (yay!) with the article "Give Him Time" Well, Carson Palmer's had time, and did a great job avoiding tackles and getting the ball down the field.

Only problem was he brought them down the field, only to be stuck kicking a field goal as Sebastian Janikowski scored a record 6 field goals.

Finally in the fourth, Michael Bush was able to run it in for a touchdown thanks to some great blocking!

Bears answered with a late touchdown of their own.

Bears tried for the onside kick.

But Raiders were able to gather the ball for the 25-20 win over the Bears much to the excitement of Marcel Reece.

Denver Broncos defeat the Oakland Raiders 38-24

Headed over to O.co Coliseum for the Broncos vs the Raiders.

After lots of hype and let down, and hype about Tim Tebow's quarterbacking, he was the story I was focused on.

Started with some warm up shots.

But then Tony Medina pointed out that John Elway was on the sideline.

You never know who you might see along the sideline pregame at Raiders... even Ice Cube!

Tim Tebow got pretty beat up, but silenced some of his critics with a 38-24 win over the Raiders.

Though Tebow wasn't the only quarterback looking to make his mark as Carson Palmer had his first career start for the Raiders.

And the kinks that came along with it.

But the real star of the game... the flag

So many penalties called! Field goal was rekicked, then rekicked again, then another personal foul gave Broncos a first down.

Tebow's throw didn't quite make it and the pass came soaring towards me. As soon as I saw this through my camera, I took out my hand and managed to swat away the ball before it hit me in the face.

I'm pretty proud of my quick reflexes, I even found the play on my dad's DVR. See if you can spot me... don't know why my fast action hands didn't make sportscenter ;-)

By the end of the game, Broncos were up by two scores and under two minutes left in the game.

I knew Raiders had no chance, but instead of trying to beat the upload rush, I thought I'd try to get some nice shots of Carson Palmer... ended up with nice shots of Carson Palmer getting sacked.

Ya win some, ya lose some.

Kansas City Chiefs defeat Oakland Raiders 28-0

Headed over to O.co Coliseum for Chiefs at the Raiders. The story was all about Carson Palmer.

I was instructed to shoot every possible shot of Raiders newest trade, quarterback Carson Palmer. So we started with warm up shots.

Which were interesting until he came out in uniform, then everything was about the uniform shot. Which would only be interesting until he actually played.

Palmer was listed first on the depth chart, but I took a warm up photo of back up quarterback Kyle Boller just in case.

And Boller ended taking the first snap. And every snap of the first half.

Much to the dismay of Raider fans as he threw three interceptions.

Second half starts, and I assumed Palmer would take over. But he was still on the bench. And fans booed as Boller came onto the field and Palmer remained on the bench.

Then as he put on his helmet, and Boller came out of play, the fans erupted in cheers.

Palmer took his first snap, faked a hand off, dropped back and threw his first pass completion with the Raiders.

But it didn't get any better than that as Palmer also threw three interceptions and Chiefs defeated the Raiders 28-0.

But there were some flashes of promise. And I am calling Palmer and Darius Heyward-Bey being the passing pair.

Raiders put up a strong fight, but it's tough to win a game when so many drives result in turnovers.

That the Chiefs were able to capitalize on.

When the game isn't much to watch, at least fans can watch the raiderettes ;-)
